Travel restrictions have been in place in most US states since the US Supreme Court ruled in 2015 that people from certain countries were not entitled to the protections of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The court’s ruling in 2016, however, left some states with very strict travel restrictions in place for a number of reasons, including the threat of terrorism.
Since then, Canada’s foreign affairs minister has said that the country will take steps to comply with the court ruling, but he said the country is “not going to impose additional restrictions.”
In a statement to CBC News, the minister also said Canada will continue to monitor the situation in Cuba.
Travel restrictions are also being imposed in other countries, including South Korea and the Philippines.
