Travelers were among the most likely to be compromised by the TsaTraveler ransomware, according to a new report from Symantec.
The cybersecurity firm said Tsa Traveler was the first of its kind, and it was able to detect a “huge” number of cases of compromised users.
About 4.5 million Tsa travelers were affected, it said.
The attack has affected more than 10 million people worldwide, the report said.
Symantec said TSA Traveler is the most common ransomware that was used to infect victims in the past three months, with another 5.3 million TSA travelers exposed in the same period.
The company said Tsbry was the most recent ransomware to infect Tsa users.
